WELCOME

Business Broking is an exciting industry that follows a reasonably fundamental process. That is; prospect for and obtains listings; market them; introduce potential purchasers to the business; negotiate and bring the parties into a contractual relationship; assist with satisfying any conditions and of course get paid. Simple really!!

If you think you have the skill to facilitate the process, we are currently recruiting staff for our Tauranga, Wellington and Christchurch offices.

There is a dedicated franchise support team with well designed and researched operation manuals to ensure optimum performance. Valentines is without doubt the market leader in buffet dining and Manukau one of their most popular sites.

BUSINESS SELLING TIPS

Preparing For Sale

Before putting your business on the market, you should put together a portfolio of documents that your broker will require during the business sale process. The documents you will need to fully prepare your business for sale are:

1.         A copy of the Lease and any Deed of Assignment.

2.        Financial figures, including statements of financial performance for at least three years if possible, plus year to date figures.

3.        Details of recent sales history including a report detailing the immediate last 12 months revenue.

4.         GST returns.

5.         A list of Plant and Equipment.

6.         Inside and outside photos of the business.

7.         Copies of current staff employment contracts.

8.         Copies of any current licenses and permits etc.

9.        Hire agreements for EFTPOS, fridges, coffee machine or other plant and equipment.

10.      An overview of the business will also be needed for inclusion in an Information Memorandum prepared by your broker.

11.      The more detail you can provide at this time, and the more well prepared you are prior to going to market, the easier the sales process will be.
