Lawrie comes from a career in marketing, having over 20 years experience in FMCG marketing for major food companies including Nabisco, Bluebird Foods, Griffins, Britannia Brands and Nice & Natural both in New Zealand and six years in Asia (Singapore and China). In the last two years Lawrie has worked at New Zealand Football as firstly as Marketing Manager and then Marketing Director for the highly successful FIFA U 17 Women's World Cup New Zealand 2008. Lawrie is an owner of the iconic book stores Unity Books Auckland and Wellington.
